Why Choose a Larsen D or A string?

Larsen makes the most popular D and A string for cello. While there might be some argument over which people prefer for their C and G string, the Larsen D or A strings are the clear favorite. The biggest question though would have to be on which tension or gauge you like or what sounds best on your cello. Forte' are just that: Slightly more tension that give a little more weight or presence to the cello. Larsen also makes these in 'Solo' gauge as well. These are slightly brighter (almost a negligible difference) but cello players like them because they are slightly louder and more responsive. Again, Larsen D and A strings are the favorite.
